Goals of this project

Lexington is a historic town which aims to honor and commemorate citizens, events, places and tell their stories. Our mission is to work with the Monuments and Memorials Committee to establish a database of every monument/memorial in Lexington. People who discover any new monuments or untold stories can use our website to add them into the town’s history. Visitors can also use the website to see the locations of every monument, and learn something new about our town.

Impact On Community

This is a project that's still going on. In the future, we plan on collaborating with the Lexington Tourism Committee to place a kiosk in the visitor center where tourists can use an interactive map (based on our database) to explore the many monuments and memorials of Lexington. While many people already know about the famous Minuteman Statue, there are many forgotten memorials which our project aims to bring into the light.
